New Orders of Precision in 3D Line Scanning

Spectrum Metrology has recently launched the revolutionary new Conoline non-contact 3D linear probe.

Designed by Optimet Optical Metrology Ltd in Israel (part of the Ophir Group), the ConoLine is a non-contact 3D linear device designed for rapid profile measurement of geometrically challenging objects and hard to measure surfaces. Based on proprietary Conoscopic Holography technology, it is the only device of its kind to offer co-linear operation that enables inspection of blind holes and other hard to measure geometries.

The sturdy construction of the Conoline (with no moving parts) makes it robust enough for a range of industrial applications, with detailed OEM software available for customer system integration. It provides the industry with a 3D non-contact profile measurement device that offers a unique combination of accuracy, speed, versatility and robustness and has the best price/performance ratio currently on the market.

Measurement is performed on-the-fly at a rate of 15,000 points per second capturing profile images of measured objects, from highly reflective metals to dark carbide tools.

Data is processed and displayed on-line, or can be stored and exported to various CAD formats. Common geometrical features like radii, centre point, angle and displacement can be extracted in a single mouse click.
