Taylor Hobson Talyvel 1, 2, 3 and 4 electronic level systems can be upgraded to take the latest Talyvel 5 display unit with considerable improvements in measurement speed, accuracy and software capability.

The upgrade package incorporates current Taylor Hobson technology in electronic processing and offers the user significant benefits which include:

	•	Total portability, with built-in rechargeable batteries and charger unit
	•	Fine +/-10 second adjustment, on analogue meter
	•	Access to computer processed analyses, through RS232 and analogue computer interfaces built-in as standard
	•	Extended service period, with a new 12 month warranty on the upgrade package

Upgrade package features:

To upgrade existing Talyvel 1, 2 and 3 level units to the latest processing technology requires little more than the simple adaptation by our service department to the connections of the level unit, to allow the system to be connected to the latest Talyvel display unit (112/2574).

The display unit is powered by rechargeable batteries with a built-in charger, and therefore provides a totally portable system which enables measurements of flatness, straightness and absolute level to be made in the most difficult locations, away from a source of mains power.

The system can also be used as a comparator to detect departures from a preset attitude, and for differential level measurement with two level units linked to the single display unit.

Upgraded Talyvel systems can be interfaced to a suitable printer for hard copy printout, or linked to a PC or lap-top, for significantly enhanced system capabilities.

Flatness, straightness and twist software packages are available in Windows ® for computer backed systems (price on application). The flatness program uses either the "Grid" or "Union Jack" (Moody) method and displays/prints results alphanumerically as a calibration chart or as an isometric diagram. The straightness program includes twist and squareness analyses and displays/prints results in tabular form or as a straightness graph.
